Voting for the 2011 @SDMusicAwards

Or San Diego Music Awards… This is always tough, cause I have so many friends in the same categories, the most difficult vote was in “Best Pop” because that is where Kevin Martin is this year. But we’ve been working SO damn hard on developing his sound and making his record all I want to see this year is Kevin’s name being called in “Best Pop” artist. 

Here are my suggestions to vote on in all categories. 

Best Tribute: Cash’d Out because they are the best out there PERIOD
Best Jazz: Steph Johnson, I don’t know the other artist either :-) 
Best Acoustic: No choice
Best Blues: Lady Dottie & The Diamonds because Nate plays guitar & is on Kevin’s record too
Best Americana: Blackout Party because they are good
Best Hip Hop: Vokab Co. because they are a fun live show
Best Pop: KEVIN MARTIN of course, but Dynamite Walls and The Silent Comedy (They should be in a different category) would be the toss up.
Best Alt.: Gotta pull for Endoxi cause Chris is a Sick player and they work HARD
Best Rock: Transfer, but this is a TOUGH choice with all the other great bands
Best Hard Rock: Long & Short of it cause Ben SLAYS!
Best Club DJ: Vega for sure, but there are some other great dudes in there this year
Best Electronic: Hyena, I think Inspired Flight should have been in Hip Hop
Best World: B-Side Players
Best New Artist: First, Kevin Martin should have been listed… BUT, Low Volts for sure.
Artist of the Year: The Silent Comedy or Transfer. They should remove bands like Augustana and Mraz completely
